Cassie is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire where she earned her A.S. in Equine Management from the Thompson School of Applied Science. Though she has been a vet tech since 2008, she's earned her title here at Bayshore as our Jack of All Trades. Cassie manages our website, Facebook page, and is our advertising design specialist and our resident Tool Girl!
Melissa, Vet Tech
Melissa is a graduate of Wilson College where she earned her B.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology. With her degree she spent 5 years in the U.S. Army as an Animal Care Specialist. She has worked in medical research, marine mammal medicine, small animal and exotic animal medicine. The majority of her free time is spent taking care of her 3 cats, her chocolate lab, and assortment of chinchillas.
Aubrey, Vet Tech
Aubrey has been a veterinary technician since 2006. She has been an active volunteer with German Shepherd Rescue & Adoptions since 2008 and Carolina Australian Cattle Dog Rescue & Rebound since 2009. She assists with medical evaluations and treatment of rescued dogs, and also provides a temporary home as a foster. The majority of her free time consists of caring for her three horses, five dogs, four cats, Pickle the pig, and traveling to the mountains to ride her horses.

Dr. Gina Francis is a graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is also a graduate of Howard University where she received a B.A. in Print Journalism. A product of the Camp Lejeune Dependent, Onslow County Public and local Catholic schools, Dr. Francis is a graduate of Jacksonville Senior High School. She is the recipient of numerous writing awards including a New York Times Publisher's Award and two North Carolina Press Association Awards. Dr. Francis is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a member of Friends of Hammocks Beach and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and supports the Carolina Animal Protection Society and New River Foundation. Dr. Francis formerly served as president of the Montford Point Marine Association Camp Lejeune Chapter 10 Ladies Auxiliary, and is currently the Public Relations Officer for the National MPMA Ladies Auxiliary. She has practiced in Southeastern North Carolina and Camp Lejeune since 2003.
